There is an interesting history to the Cambodia casinos that reside just across the dividing line from next door Thailand, where casino wagering is not allowed. Eight gambling halls are established in a relatively tiny location in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia casinos is in a prime area, a 3 to four hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 most popular betting centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The initial gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown before long followed. There are one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machines and sixty eight table games at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights 300 one armed bandits and 70 gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and ninety six table games, including 87 baccarat (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 one armed bandits and 66 of the normal tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 gambling dens in Poipet, also in a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machines and 97 games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a multinational resort and hotel building that contains many comforts in addition to the gambling den, which provides ten thousand square feet of one hundred and thirty one armed bandits and eighty eight tables.
